Ocotillo and Cholla Cactus—231 © C. T. CO. 4A-H1142 --- OCOTILLO AND CHOLLA CACTUS The Ocotillo or Coach Whip Cactus is peculiar to the desert regions of Arizona, New Mexico and Texas. During spring and early summer red blooms appear. The Cholla or "jumping cactus" growing beside it is peculiar inasmuch as if one gets near, its almost invisible needles seem to jump at you.
