The card shows Old Faithful Geyser in full eruption, a tall column of white steam and water rising against a deep blue sky above the pale, mineral-crusted sinter terrace of the geyser basin. Old Faithful, in the Upper Geyser Basin of Yellowstone National Park, was named in 1870 for the regularity of its eruptions and became the park's best-known attraction; the Haynes family of Yellowstone Park were long-time official photographers and publishers of views of the park.

Hello - Neil & I are having
a very nice time here.
Started in our tent last
night. About daylight
the bear tried to break
into the car parked
alongside the tent. He
heard it sniffing and
scratching - the [illegible] began
hit a loud swat with his paw.
He was after the bacon
we had in a sealed tin
can. All love - Neil & Helen
