About this postcard
The card shows the log-and-shingle facade of the Old Faithful Inn at right, with the plume of Old Faithful Geyser rising against a pale blue sky at left. Built in 1903-04 to designs by architect Robert C. Reamer, the Inn is famed for its steep gabled roofs and its cavernous log-and-stone lobby, and it stands directly beside the geyser it was built to serve. Old Faithful, named for the regularity of its eruptions, is among the most famous geothermal features of Yellowstone National Park, established in 1872 as the world's first national park.
