About this postcard
The card shows the log-and-shingle mass of the Old Faithful Inn at right, with a column of steam and spray from Old Faithful Geyser rising beyond a pine tree at left. Built in 1903-04 to designs by architect Robert Reamer, the Inn is among the best-known national park lodges in the United States, its cavernous lobby framed by gnarled lodgepole pine. Old Faithful, the park's most famous geyser, erupts on a roughly regular schedule and has drawn visitors to this spot in the Upper Geyser Basin since the 1870s.
