The Old State House in Frankfort, Kentucky, stands behind a lawn and bare trees. The Greek Revival building has a pediment, six Ionic columns, and a cupola; a taller brick building rises to the right. Built between 1827 and 1829, it served as Kentucky's capitol until 1910, when the state moved to a new capitol and the building became known as the Old State House. The bare trees suggest late fall or winter.
White border; real photo postcard; printed caption and photographer's imprint on front.
No postmark. Divided-back Kodak "Paper" real-photo postcard, unused and undated; dealer mark ("RMLJ" and "7-") in pencil in the message panel; small foxing spot near center-right. White-bordered glossy photo print.
