A Boeing 737-200 of Olympic Airways in flight against a clear sky, banking slightly so its starboard side faces the viewer. The white fuselage carries OLYMPIC in dark capitals, and the tail fin bears the airline's five-rings emblem.
Olympic Airways was Greece's state flag carrier, taken over in 1957 by Aristotle Onassis, and the 737-200 was the twin-jet workhorse of its short and medium-haul routes from the early 1970s. Publicity images like this one, printed in Greece, promoted the airline's new jet service.
White border around the image; chrome-era color printing with visible grain; light edge and corner wear.
No postmark. Divided-back glossy chrome-era card; printed imprint for Olympic Airways Boeing 737-200, printed in Greece by Char. I. Papadopoulos S.A. No handwriting, no address, no stamp.
