About this postcard
The design centers the question “On Which Side are You?” within a dark blue and silver floral border. A three-stanza verse below turns the question into a plain moral choice: the wrong side and the right, the gloomy and the bright, the strong and the weak, the false and the true. The final stanza warns that the strong side may be the wrong side, leaving the reader to answer. Moral motto cards were a common early-20th-century postcard form, carrying short improving lines instead of a view. The contrast between light and dark, strength and weakness, gives the card its earnest popular-print tone.
