About this postcard

A small stone chapel with a red tile roof and a cross-topped bell tower stands beside a pond at Knott's Berry Place in Buena Park. Ducks swim among lily pads in the foreground, with reeds and trees around the water under a sunset sky. The chapel is presented as a restful stop for weary travelers on the old California trails, linking it to the romantic Old West and the Camino Real. Knott's Berry Place grew from Walter Knott's berry stand into Knott's Berry Farm, and the chapel helped give the roadside attraction its old-California character.
