The P.C.C. & St.L. Depot in Richmond, Indiana, is a long two-story brick station with a columned portico and pediment at the left, arched windows along the ground floor, and a broad train shed extending to the right. An early automobile and a horse-drawn wagon share the street in front, a common mix of traffic in 1906.
The P.C.C. & St.L., commonly called the Panhandle, was a Pennsylvania Railroad affiliate whose line through Richmond made the city a busy rail junction in eastern Indiana. The station's scale and the street traffic reflect that role.
