About this postcard

A color lithograph view of the bare granite summit of Mount Chocorua rising above dark evergreen scrub, with scattered boulders and ledges in the foreground. The peak, the southernmost of New Hampshire's White Mountains, is named for the Sachem Chocorua of the Pequawket and is one of the most frequently painted and photographed summits in the region; the open rock ledges shown here are characteristic of its exposed summit cone.
