Two tall granite columns crowned with bronze eagles flank a curving path through lawn and trees at Valley Forge. The Pennsylvania Columns, each inscribed with the names of the state's soldiers, were erected in the early 20th century to honor Pennsylvania troops; the site itself preserves the winter encampment of George Washington's Continental Army in 1777–78. The linen-textured coloring and the Curt Teich job number suggest a 1930s printing.
Linen (crosshatch) texture; narrow white margin at bottom edge; Curt Teich production code 6B-H758 printed lower right.
No postmark — card is unmailed; handwritten date "Jan 26, 1952" on the address side. Divided-back linen-texture Curteich (C.T. Art-Colortone) card; publisher imprint Lynn H. Boyer, Jr., Wildwood, N.J. Brown adhesive/tape stains at top and bottom center, light soiling at right edge.
