About this postcard
Four tracks of the Pennsylvania Railroad run straight through the Juniata Valley toward distant hills, with a signal stand between the rails, telegraph poles along the right of way, and shocks of corn in a field at right. Farm buildings and autumn-colored trees flank the line. The printed caption calls the scene an 'Autumn Farm Scene in the Juanita Valley,' apparently a misspelling of Juniata. The valley route through Huntingdon and Altoona was the Pennsylvania Railroad's principal line between Harrisburg and Pittsburgh, following the Juniata River through the mountains of central Pennsylvania.
