About this postcard
Four-track main line of the Pennsylvania Railroad runs straight toward distant hills, with a signal stand between the rails, a line of telegraph poles along the right of way, and shocks of corn standing in a field at right. Farm buildings and autumn-colored trees flank the tracks, and the printed caption names the scene as an autumn farm view in the Juniata Valley. The Juniata Valley route through Huntingdon and Altoona was the Pennsylvania Railroad's principal line between Harrisburg and Pittsburgh, following the Juniata River through the Allegheny Mountains.
