A spray of pink single roses with yellow stamens and several buds fills a green and blue stippled panel. The design is a floral greeting motif.
Mabel Holmes wrote to her cousin Clara Lieder in Lonsdale, Minnesota, urging her to come early for a "Basket sociable" on May 28 and promising ice cream. Basket sociables were common church and community gatherings in small-town Minnesota, often combining food, entertainment, and fundraising.
