Two red poinsettia blossoms with green leaves fill the lower part of the card, with a four-line verse of friendship above. It was sent to Sadie Armstrong in Commodore, Pennsylvania, with a short Christmas wish from Anna B. Flick. Poinsettias, native to Mexico, were becoming a familiar American holiday motif by the 1920s, and the floral design reflects that growing popularity.
Green and gold ruled border; small printed 'stamp' ornament dated 1923 in the corner (decorative, not a real postage stamp); light edge and corner wear.
Postmark: INDIANA DEC 19 1923 10 AM. Divided-back "Post Card" with Whitney Made imprint; light soiling and minor corner wear.
