The card pictures the Post Office in Waterbury, Connecticut, a substantial stone building with a balustraded roofline and flagpole, with a horse-drawn carriage and pedestrians on the street in front. The printed caption names it simply as “POST OFFICE, WATERBURY, CONN.” Waterbury was a major brass-manufacturing center in the early 20th century, and this view records the city’s post office as it appeared around 1905.

No postmark. Undivided back with printed stamp box ("PLACE STAMP HERE / UNITED STATES, CUBA, CANADA, AND MEXICO ONE CENT. / FOREIGN, TWO CENTS."); unused, no handwriting. White border on front; copyright 1905 by Alfred A. Adt printed on front edge. Light soiling/toning on back.
