About this postcard

Prometheus, the gilded bronze figure by Paul Manship, stands in his fountain at the lower plaza of Rockefeller Center, ringed by beds of pink and white flowers. International flags fly on poles above the sunken court, the Flags of All Nations Court, a Rockefeller Center attraction. Pedestrians cross the plaza, and a tall building rises behind. Northwest Orient Airlines used the view to promote its double-deck Stratocruiser "Metropolitan Express" and New York tourism in the early 1950s.
