A tinted view looking down Pryor Street in downtown Atlanta, with tall brick commercial blocks lining both sides, pedestrians in period dress on the sidewalks, and a horse-drawn wagon and carriage in the unpaved street. Pryor Street was one of Atlanta's principal downtown thoroughfares, running south from the railroad gulch past the city's wholesale and retail business blocks. The lower-right corner carries the artist's signature, Charles Flower, a name associated with early twentieth-century color-lithographed American street views.
Thin white margin at edges; artist signature printed in the lower right; light surface speckling and slight corner wear.
Postmark: [illegible] DEC 19 1905 8-AM (circular cancel, city name hidden under the printed heading); a second receiving cancel reads AMHERST MASS. Undivided back with "THE ADDRESS TO BE WRITTEN ON THIS SIDE", 2¢ Washington adhesive stamp, Tuck Postcard Series No. 2218 imprint with British royal arms. Light edge/corner wear, slight soiling.
