About this postcard

A view along the Bathhouse Row promenade shows the Quapaw Bath House, a white Spanish Colonial Revival building with an arcaded ground floor and a large tiled dome banded in orange, green and red. Flowering trees and globe street lamps line the walk, where a couple of figures stroll in the shade. The Quapaw opened in 1922 on the site of two earlier bathhouses and was one of the grand bathing establishments serving visitors to the hot springs of the Ouachita Mountains; the card's credit line names acting president J. M. Callahan and manager Ernest F. Woodcock.
