About this postcard

The Queen Elizabeth lies at Port Everglades with its black hull, white superstructure, and two tall funnels; the Fort Lauderdale waterfront and its tall buildings rise behind the ship to the right. In the foreground a small open motorboat with two occupants speeds across choppy blue water, while harbor craft cluster near the liner's bow. The Queen Elizabeth was a Cunard ocean liner retired from transatlantic service and berthed at Port Everglades as a tourist attraction in the early 1970s, drawing visitors to the port.
