About this postcard

The Randolph-Macon Woman's College campus in Lynchburg, Virginia, with its long brick main hall, corner towers, and central cupola rising above the grounds. Railroad tracks run through the foreground, and a small gate lodge and outbuilding stand at the right. The college was founded in 1891 and opened in 1893 as a women's coordinate institution of Randolph-Macon College; it became Randolph College in 2007. The printed caption reads "Randolf-Macon Womans College," likely a typesetter's error for Randolph-Macon Woman's College. A note from an old friend in Lynchburg asks Birdie Smith of Clifton Forge when she will come to Lynchburg again.
