Raphael's Madonna del Granduca, a Renaissance panel in the Galleria Palatina in Florence, shows the Virgin in a red dress and blue mantle holding the Christ Child. Both figures have halos against a dark background. Raphael painted the work in the early 1500s, and it takes its name from Grand Duke Ferdinand III of Tuscany.
