View of the towering red sandstone fins and pinnacles of Red Rocks rising above a grassy slope with scattered pines and a winding path, printed in the saturated color typical of early twentieth-century view cards. The formations, tilted layers of Fountain Formation sandstone along the eastern edge of the Front Range, were a well-known scenic attraction west of Boulder and later became Red Rocks Park, famous today for its open-air amphitheatre. The caption names the site simply as "Red Rocks, Boulder, Colo."
Narrow white border; visible halftone/litho screen texture; light discoloration along the left edge.
No postmark. Divided-back "POST CARD" with "THIS SPACE FOR WRITING MESSAGES" / "THIS SPACE FOR ADDRESS ONLY" and one-cent stamp box; C.T. American Art Colored (Curt Teich, Chicago) imprint; card is unused and blank, with light toning/foxing on the cream stock.
