The view takes in the tilted red sandstone formations of Red Rocks Park, with rustic stone masonry and a curving wall in the foreground. The park lies just west of Denver near Morrison and became part of the Denver Mountain Parks system in the late 1920s. Its layered rocks and caves were promoted as the main attraction, and beginning in the 1930s Civilian Conservation Corps crews built stone entranceways and the open-air amphitheatre that still define the site.
Linen-textured stock with visible crosshatch grain; no white border; slight wear at corners.
No postmark or cancellation. Divided-back linen-era chrome postcard, unused; light age toning/soiling, no writing.
