About this postcard

A large, turreted house with a broad arched porch stands among trees on a grassy lawn on the "Island" at Winona Lake. Figures sit and walk near the water's edge, with the lake behind the house. Winona Lake was a summer resort and Chautauqua ground in northern Indiana, and the caption's "Island" names one of its resort spots. A daughter's note on the back places her at the park and promises her father she will be home Friday.
