About this postcard

A broad gravel walk curves through Robbins Park beneath mature shade trees, with lawns and a low fence beyond. A few small figures, one with a child's carriage, are visible in the distance under the canopy. Waltham was a busy manufacturing city in this period, and the park offered a shaded public retreat near Crescent Street.
