The aerial view looks down on Rockefeller Center in Midtown Manhattan, with the RCA Building rising above the surrounding skyscrapers and street grid. The complex fills the center of the frame, its towers and setbacks set among older buildings and avenues. Rockefeller Center was still new in the early 1930s; the RCA Building, completed in 1933 and later known as 30 Rockefeller Plaza, was its tallest tower and the centerpiece of the development.
