Printed photo

About this postcard

The view looks across the Susquehanna River north of Harrisburg, with a fence and tree-lined bank in the foreground and hills rising beyond the water. The caption identifies the Rockville Bridge, the Pennsylvania Railroad crossing just north of the city. The stone-arch span that replaced earlier bridges opened in 1902, and the river corridor was a busy rail route in the early 1900s.
