A steam locomotive with a plume of smoke leads its train along a ledge cut into the rock beside the rushing water of Clear Creek, deep in a steep-walled canyon of reddish granite and pine. The card names the spot as Rocky Point in Clear Creek Canon, Colorado. Clear Creek Canyon west of Denver was the route of the Colorado Central Railroad, whose narrow-gauge line clung to the canyon wall and made such views a staple of Colorado souvenir cards.
