A spray of pink and red roses frames a small oval vignette of a red-roofed cottage or farmhouse set in green fields beneath a blue sky with white clouds, with the greeting "Best Wishes" printed at lower right. Cards of this pattern — floral sprays surrounding a tiny landscape or building view, finished with a heavy embossed border — were a staple of the undivided-back era, when only the address was permitted on the reverse and greetings were printed on the picture side.
