Lithograph

About this subject

A chromolithograph Jewish New Year greeting card composed of several vignettes: a crowded synagogue interior, men in prayer shawls blowing the shofar, worshippers entering a synagogue, a father blessing children by candlelight, and figures standing outdoors under a moon. The Hebrew greeting 'Leshanah Tovah' and 'A Happy New Year' frame a central Yiddish poem.
