A rounded, largely barren mountain dominates the view, its slopes streaked with reddish and dark erosion channels, with evergreen trees and dry hillside in the foreground. The card names it Round Top Mountain at Thermopolis, Wyoming, a town in Hot Springs County on the Bighorn River long noted for its mineral hot springs and nearby dinosaur fossil quarries. The warm-toned, textured printing is typical of American view cards of the 1930s and 1940s.
Linen-textured stock with a white border; production number 91019-N printed at lower right (Curt Teich style numbering). Light corner wear.
No postmark; card is unused. Divided-back card with a linen-texture surface and white border; printed descriptive text at left and "Sanborn Souvenir Co., Denver, Colo." imprint along the divider. Slight edge/corner wear.
