Royal Palms along the Yacht Basin, Bradenton, FL, 1947

Card type
Linen

About this postcard

Royal palms line the lawn and balustrade above Bradenton's yacht basin, with benches along the waterfront and docks and buildings visible across the water. The view takes in the Bradenton Municipal Pier, a memorial to World War veterans, whose Memorial Pier Building held a municipal auditorium, Chamber of Commerce offices, and the Manatee County Art League's exhibition space. A note on the card reports much beauty but little sun, with cold and occasional rain.
