About this postcard

The view shows large stalactite and stalagmite formations inside Mammoth Cave, their shapes resembling columns, with two small figures at lower right for scale. The formation is named Ruins of Karnak, after the temple complex in Egypt. Mammoth Cave, in central Kentucky, had drawn tourists since the 1800s, and it became a national park in 1941.
