About this postcard

A rustic wooden bridge with lattice railings and a small red-roofed pavilion on its deck spans a rocky waterfall in Lester Park, Duluth, Minnesota. Lester Park, laid out along the Lester River in eastern Duluth in the 1890s, was one of the city's early public parks and was noted for its scenic drives, footpaths and rustic timber structures of this kind. The card's own caption names the structure simply as the rustic bridge and pavilion.
