About this postcard
A view up Sabino Canyon near Tucson, showing a curving stone masonry bridge and low dam holding a dark pool of water, with saguaro-studded green slopes below bare red rock cliffs and a bright blue sky. Sabino Canyon, cut by Sabino Creek through the Santa Catalina Mountains, lies within the Coronado National Forest and has long been a favored scenic drive and picnic destination for Tucson residents; the stone bridge and dam pictured were among the Depression-era improvements to the canyon road.
