About this postcard

A multi-view greeting card for Delavan Lake, Wisconsin: a two-man sailboat under sail at left, a tree-framed view of the shoreline in the center, and an oval inset of several sailboats on the water, captioned "LAKE SCENES." Delavan Lake, in Walworth County in southeastern Wisconsin, was a popular summer resort area in the early 20th century, drawing vacationers from Milwaukee and Chicago for sailing, fishing and lakeside hotels. The card was published by E. C. Kropp of Milwaukee, a prolific producer of view and greeting postcards in the undivided-back era.
