Snow-covered trees and shrubs frame the Salt Lake Temple, whose six granite spires rise against a pale winter sky, in the grounds of Temple Square. The temple was begun in 1853 and dedicated in 1893, and its grounds in downtown Salt Lake City remain the centerpiece of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The view is a typical mid-century linen-textured scenic of the temple in snow.
