The Salt Lake Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints stands on Temple Square, its six granite spires rising above trees with mountains and a sunset sky behind. The card labels it the "Mormon" Temple, the common name for the building. Construction began in 1853 and the temple was dedicated in 1893 after forty years of work. It remains the church's best-known building and a landmark in the center of Salt Lake City.
Linen-texture stock with a wide cream border; Curt Teich production number 3A-H202 in the lower right corner.
