The card shows the Salt Lake Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, its six granite spires rising above trees with mountains and a sunset sky behind, captioned by the card as the "Mormon" Temple, Salt Lake City, Utah. The temple was begun in 1853 and dedicated in 1893 after forty years of construction, and it remains the church's best-known building, standing on Temple Square in the city's center. The view is rendered in the bright, tinted style typical of mid-century linen postcards.
Linen-texture stock with a wide cream border; Curt Teich production number 3A-H202 in the lower right corner.
No postmark. Divided back; linen texture; cream border; no message or address.
