The card shows the Salt Lake Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, its six granite spires rising above trees with mountains and a sunset sky behind. The temple was begun in 1853 and dedicated in 1893 after forty years of construction, and it remains the best-known landmark of Temple Square in downtown Salt Lake City. The printed caption names it the "Mormon" Temple, the colloquial name by which the building was widely known to visitors.
Linen-textured stock with a yellow border; job number "3A-H202" printed at lower right (Curt Teich style numbering).
No postmark; unused divided-back card. Linen-texture Curt Teich "C.T. Art-Colortone" stock with Deseret Book Co. imprint and a 1947 Utah Centennial invitation; light edge wear, no handwriting.
