An illustrated Florida beach scene: a woman bends to shake sand from her shoe while two children in bathing suits sit on the sand nearby. Palm trees, a striped beach umbrella, bathers on a bench, and the ocean fill the background. The scene illustrates the verse "Sand in My Shoes," a comic rhyme about Florida's blue skies, clean sand, and neat bungalows. The joke turns the state's sand into a souvenir, a familiar theme for winter visitors and beach tourists in the 1930s.
