About this postcard
A comic-souvenir Florida card: a woman in a white dress tips sand from her high-heeled shoe while two children in bathing suits sit on the sand, with palm trees, a red-and-yellow beach umbrella, a striped bench and bathers at the water's edge behind them. The left half carries the title "Sand in My Shoes" over a palmetto-frond panel and a four-stanza verse praising Florida's skies, friendship, evergreens and beach sand. Curt Teich of Chicago produced such linen-textured novelty views of Florida in the 1930s and 1940s for the tourist trade.
