About this postcard

The card shows Santa Claus in a red suit and black belt holding a holly wreath with a bell, while a child wearing a blue bonnet peeks out from a green sack; a small ball toy lies at Santa's feet. The printed verse addresses "the old friends, the tried friends" and sends a Christmas greeting. This style of Santa imagery became widely popular in early 20th-century American Christmas postcards.
