A tropical garden scene showing a sausage tree (Kigelia africana) hung with its long, pale, sausage-shaped fruits, flanked by a coconut palm, spiky yucca-like plants and beds of red, blue and lavender flowers in pots. The sausage tree is native to tropical Africa and is planted as a curiosity in warm climates such as Florida, where its woody fruits dangle on long cord-like stalks. The card is a hand-colored photo view by Miami photographer G. W. Romer.
Linen-textured stock with visible crosshatch halftone; image runs to the edge with no white border.
No postmark. Curteich "C.T. Art-Colortone" linen-era card (18-H1727) with divided back and printed description; no white border on the front; light toning/soiling on the back, otherwise clean and unwritten.
