About this postcard

The Seaboard station in West Palm Beach is a long, low Spanish Colonial Revival building with white stucco walls, arched openings, red tile roofs, and a square tower with arched windows and a tiled cap. Palm trees frame the facade, while automobiles and a few figures occupy the wide street and driveway in front. The station served the Seaboard Air Line Railway, one of the railroads that carried winter visitors and freight along Florida's east coast in the early twentieth century. West Palm Beach was an established winter resort by the 1920s, and its rail stations handled seasonal visitors and local freight.
