A herd of seals crowds the rocky outcrops of Seal Rocks, just offshore from Ocean Beach at the western edge of San Francisco, with surf breaking around the base of the rocks. The animals cluster across the uneven stone, a familiar sight near Cliff House, where seals and sea lions hauled out and drew sightseers in the early 1900s.
Black-and-white real photo; printed caption; no white border visible; 'Zan 289' series number.
No postmark. Unused divided-back card; printed 'POST CARD / CORRESPONDENCE / ADDRESS' with dashed stamp box ('PLACE STAMP HERE'). Handwritten 'RMLJ 2-' at top edge, likely a dealer/stock code, not correspondence. No address or message written.
