About this postcard

A tall pink-and-cream brick and coquina campanile rises above dense subtropical foliage, with palms, flowering shrubs and a reflecting pool in the foreground, shown lit against a night sky. The card names it the "Singing Tower" at Mountain Lake Sanctuary, Lake Wales, Florida. The 205-foot tower, designed by Milton B. Medary and completed in 1929, houses a carillon and stands on Iron Mountain, one of the highest points in peninsular Florida, within the sanctuary created by Frederick Law Olmsted Jr. for Edward Bok.
