About this postcard

The view looks across the Ohio River toward downtown Cincinnati. The John A. Roebling Suspension Bridge enters from the left, with riverboats on the water and the city skyline behind. Carew Tower and the tower now known as PNC Tower rise above the riverfront. The Roebling bridge, completed in 1866, was a prototype for the Brooklyn Bridge and remained a busy Ohio River crossing in the 1930s. Carew Tower, finished in 1930, was then the city's tallest building.
