Snoqualmie Falls pours over a rocky ledge in a broad white curtain, dropping 268 feet into a mist-filled gorge. Forested hills rise above and below the falls, and a small building sits near the brink. In the early 20th century the falls were a tourist attraction and the site of an early hydroelectric plant in the Cascade foothills.
